Bratwurst Sausage Seasoning 1lb 8oz is the perfect blend of spices to make authentic homemade sausages, making it a great base for any bratwurst seasoning recipe. The seasoning is made with nutmeg, salt, pepper, dextrose and other spices.

The seasoning is mixed without the chemical use of silicone dioxide, an anticaking agent. If the seasoning cakes up, it is not spoiled. Simply shake the container or crush with your hand to loosen.

  • 10 lbs. Pork Butts
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 Pint Fresh Milk
  • 10 oz. Soy Protein Concentrate (2 Cups) Do not pack into cup
  • 4 oz. Bratwurst Seasoning

Grind all the meat through a 3/8″ grinder plate. Add all ingredients and mix thoroughly into meat until evenly distributed. Bratwurst sausage may be stuffed into a 32 – 35 mm hog casing. Freeze any sausage that will not be eaten immediately.

Allergens: Soybean oil used as a mixing aid.

*Casing capacity depends on meat/fill density, size/lengths of links or loops and how tightly casings being filled.

    Made goose brats with this seasoning and came out excellent. Use the Protein additive as well, which was new for me, but think it helped keep the brats from drying out. Highly recommend along with their natural casing they sell.

    Basic spice blend is good. It has too much Soy Protein powder.

    I ordered this mix back on 9/25/2021 and found the mix to be way too salty. Why not leave the salt out of the mixes? It would cut down on shipping costs and I can add kosher salt myself. That way if the sausage has too little or too much salt I have nobody but myself to blame. After leaving my negative review online for a couple months it has now been deleted by The Sausage Maker. Have you noticed all reviews appear to be 4 or 5 stars? If the company isn’t going to post all reviews they have a basic honesty problem with their management or employees.

    I can’t believe I made this great sausage, and I made it vegetarian by using a basic seitan recipe. The spice blend is a bit salty, so if you try this, don’t add any extra salt or salty ingredients. My family gave it 5stars.
