- Use one level teaspoon Insta Cure 1 per 5 lbs. of ground meat
- One pound of Insta Cure pink curing salt #1 will process approximately 480 pounds of meat
For a basic bacon or ham brine (not including additional flavor ingredients), mix:
- 1 gal. water
- 4 oz. (½ cup) Insta Cure #1 pink curing salt
- 1 lb. 5 oz. (1¾ cup) salt
- 1 ½ oz. (2¼ Tbsp.) sugar

I recently made venison hotdogs with the sausage maker mix . I added high temp cheddar and jalapeno they came out fantastic. I also made the original snack sticks,they are vary bland I would try a different one. Make sure that you order 75 bucks worth of stuff or shipping will killing you. The trail baloney isn’t to bad either I like to fry it.
