Our Midwest Bratwurst Seasoning 1lb 10 oz  is dedicated to the Midwesterners whose descendants brought the love of Brats to the States.

Ingredients: salt, spices, dextrose, monosodium glutamate, spice extractives (flavorings).

The seasoning is mixed without the chemical use of silicone dioxide, an anticaking agent. If the seasoning cakes up, it is not spoiled. Simply shake the container or crush with your hand to loosen.

Because the sausage seasoning comes pre-blended, it saves you time and effort of mixing the ingredients themselves. No additional salt needed. Store in cool dry space.

10 lbs. Recipe

  • 10 lb. pork butts
  • 1 pint fresh cold milk
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 2 cups soy protein concentrate (do not pack soy protein when measuring)
  • 5 oz.  Midwest Bratwurst seasoning

Grind all the meat through a 3/8″ grinder plate and mix, adding all the ingredients and evenly distributed. Meat should be stuffed into a 32-35 hog casing. Freeze all leftover fresh sausage.

    Not as bold as I would have liked. I live in Wisconsin and love a good brat. This has good flavor, but could be bolder. I think next batch, I’ll add a little extra seasoning.

    Ive used the midwest bratwurst. It is awesome.- breakfast sausage and banger mix which are very good. I also got itailian seasoning, follwing the instructions . The italian turned out guite salty and i was disapointed. Shipping took a little time. But overall very good business!

    Used 7lb venison, 2lb pork shoulder, 1lb high temp pepper jack, natural hog casings, and followed the directions on the can. And I’ll say Johnsonville ain’t got $h!% on me I was blown away at how juicy They were and how spot on the flavor was. This will Definitely be on the menu at my house for years to come.
