A special milk that has the consistency of corn starch, a very fine powder. For use with fine quality sausage and lunch meats. Non-fat dry milk is commonly used by sausage makers that prefer the flavor over that of Soy Protein. Helps cut shrinkage and improves moisture retention. This is GRADE ‘A’ High Heat Nonfat Dry Milk, made from the removal of milkfat and water from Cows’ milk and contains Lactose, Milk Protein and Minerals in the same relative proportion as in the fresh milk from which it is made. Storage should be in cool and dry environment with temperatures below 80-degrees Fahrenheit and below 65% relative humidity.

We ordered 10 pounds of the dry mily. The package arrived in good but not perfect shape. One of the two 5-pound containers had popped open during shipment handling and we losh about 20% of the contents of one of the containers.

My order arrived quickly (two days from order placement) in spite of shipping delay warnings on website. No complaints about the product itself: powdered milk reconstitutes to an acceptable flavor and consistency. I would put a bit more dry product in the mix than the package suggests, but to each his own.

I like to keep a little dry milk on hand for baking & camping purposes. That being said, when I finally decided to get our camp trailer in order for the season it happened to be shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic and there was a shortage of powdered milk in the stores.
