Great product. It got here just in time to do a 24 hour brine on a 24 pound turkey.

I bought this because my daughter and son-in-law said theyâd give us a freshly butchered turkey from a friends farm. I liked the concept of the bucket and figured it will work for brining many different things. My daughter brought the turkey over in a cooler. It weighed 25lbs. You might be able to get a 26 pounder in there but Iâd say 25 pounds is the limit but it does fit. Itâs in the fridge right now brine soaking away so I can start smoking it this weekend. If you want to brine meats for smoking, this brining bucket is for you. With all the different levels of notches, you can brine anything up to a 25lb. turkey or ham.

Shopping and purchasing experience above and beyond the competition. I purchased a large briner for a Christmas present for my cousin. They had already started the brining process for a fresh ham using a large pot at their house. The briner arrived at their house within 2 days of my order. Once they opened the box, cleaned out the briner, everything was poured over to it to finish their ham. They were so happy with the product and that ham turned out fantastic.

I see from some of the other reviews that in dealing w/ the hassle w/ bags, ice, fridge space, weights, and the like, it seems I am not alone in feeling like “please let this work ..”. It worked like a CHAMP! Reduced the amount of brine needed, fit perfectly in an igloo icecube(tm) cooler w/ 4x1lb bags of ice, and made cleanup 100x easier. Because it fits in cooler, was able to keep Brine temp over 36hrs at 34deg. We did smaller bird (18lb) this year 🙁 normally do 22-24lb. 18 lb bird fit with some room, but 22-24 lb bird may be cutting it close if whole. PROS: Better control over environment, hugely efficient, no worries about any bag leaks, pops, seam rips, less brine required, ease of use. CONS: ….. I got only 1 Briner. I will be using this a lot. May even gift a couple to my other BBQ-on-the-brain friends. So far, this is on track to be one of the best tools and investment ever.

if you plan on Brining your meat to perfection than this is your must have! We followed the recipe that came with it up to 25 lbs turkey and it turned out to be the best tasting turkey ever!!! We baked it afterwards! Due to our briner size, we had to rearrange the fridge shelves and keep in mind that it is heavy so muscle power will be needed to place it in and out of the fridge! Tip: place it on the floor to pour brine and to pick up easier!
The only drawback is the plastic plate that twists to keep the food submerged is too thin. Worked fine but we think it might be better if it was made out of thicker plastic!
We plan on brining brisket next and of course I wanted to make Sauerkraut next only waiting for hubby to allow me to use it or for it to be available!

I used to use a weight to keep a turkey submerged in the brine. No more. The Briner is the ticket.

Simple, yet it functions exactly as described.
Getting the air out of and tying off garbage bags and using weights in a pail worked too, but this is so much easier and can be turned and viewed with ease also. No regrets – great tool!

Works great, easy to use, easy to clean.
